Welcome to The Modernist Beat Collective.

Here at Beatnpress it has always been the intention to create a modern beat movement. A place where music, literature and culture collide. From the mid nineties I had a notion of a New Beat Generation - and now here we are. Writers, Poets and Artists are working in tandem to create.

With the recent advent of the Modernist Beat Poetry of Danny Gray's book Beat Dimensions, featuring the artwork of Graeme Webb a true modernist with a talent for creating jazz inspired abstract art - we now finally have the makings of what was envisaged when Beatnpress was conceived. The objective and mission is to create Modernist literature inspired by music, style and culture. Reflecting true life, and what drives things forward. The hope is that others will become involved and show there is much to offer. Creativity is the driving force, and believing in expressing that creativity in an ever evolving Modernist Beat fashion

The Modernist Beat Collective isn't just limited to Jason, Graeme and Danny. Becky Nuttall, the poet and artist behind Nick's Gift is another fine example of the talent that the collective embraces. She is a curator as well, and has exhibited her work widely. The cover illustration for her book is by her daughter Laura Page.
